Todays creating challenge was to make an instrument. This is part of our inquiry about sound. Miss Pryde gave us a pile of old boxed and tubes then she let us go on an adventure hunt for anything that could help us make an instrument. We found lots of noisy things. We found leaves that go crunch, acorns that can make a rattling noise, sticks that can make lots of different types of noises depending on size and how you use them. We all came up with some very different ideas for musical instruments. We are a talented group of musicians.
Kia ora,
ReplyDeleteI love you musical instruments. I like how you used old piles of boxes and egg cartons, they are all things you could easily find at home. Did you know that in Papatūānuku they have been learning about body percussion and will be making their own musical instruments? How long did it take you to make the instruments and will you make a song using these instruments?

Thank you for commenting on our blog. I think it took us about an hour. First we went on a hunt to find some things outside that make noise. We found acorns, sticks, wood and crunchy leaves. After that we made them into instruments. Miss Pryde got some bottles, boxes and some bit of plastic and we put them altogether to make instruments. The hardest part was finding things to make the instrument.
DeleteWe think you could find some things outside to make noise too.
Good luck!
