Book character parade

On Friday we had book day. We dressed up as our favourite book characters because it was book week. We started the day off by going around the classrooms and listening to stories. Some of the people who read to us were Mr Johnston, our principal, Whaea Mele, Carlo's mum and a teacher at the kindergarten, the Panmure librarians and Mr James. After that we went to the hall for a special book day / Samoan language week assembly. There was a big surprise and Spiderman showed up. Spiderman jumped up on the stage and he was asking questions and all of them were about him. Next, all of the classes went to have lunch with their buddy class. With our buddy class we read books and ate our lunch. The last thing we did was take photos of ourselves in the Thing 1 and Thing 2 board. The day was fantastic!

Library trip

  

We went on a trip to the library for book week. We walked to the library and we got library cards. We got to get some library books to take home. There are some rules about library books. If the book has a hard cover you have to read it on the table so you don't break the spine. You aren't allowed to keep the books but you can have them for 28 days. I got a book called Black is a colour it is about a rainbow where there was black and some people thought black isn't a colour but it is.
